February 29th saw Metro North East 'leap' into 1st place at the 2020 NSW Speedo Sprint Finals held at SOPAC!

 

Congratulations to the 101 Swimmers who represented MNE yesterday at the Speedo Sprint Finals. One of 12 Areas within NSW and a small selection of the nearly 1000 swimmers, our fabulous young swimmers competed in 184 individual events and 8 relays at the action packed, stadium filled SOPAC.

 

Sporting new t-shirts and caps our 13 & unders wowed the crowd with 38 podium finishes plus 63 top 10 finishes, numerous PBs, National times, and State times.  Our young swimmers topped off this exciting day with an overall win in the point scores proving we are once again the NSW Premier Area for the 4th consecutive year!

 

Well done to all our team, you represented MNE with pride and we're very proud of you all.  And a huge thank you to the volunteers and coaches who gave up their entire day to support our kids, the excitement and smiles on the swimmers' faces was hugely rewarding!
