Development Squad Overview - 2020

As you are aware the world is going through some very challenging and confusing times.

The health and wellbeing of our swimmers, volunteers, officials, coaches and spectators will always be paramount.

In these uncertain times, SMNE would like to provide some clarity and certainty to our members to assist in planning, however, until the government and health organisations give the all clear, we will withhold all entries and registration for our planned development activities.  It is our sincere hope that Australia will soon be in the recovered stage and that all these activities will be able to proceed as planned but we feel that it is important that we play our part in reducing the spread of the virus out of respect for all Australians and the health care system.

All community sport participants must play a role to help reduce the transmission of COVID‑19, including those organising, attending or supporting attendance at these activities.

Participants should not attend and participate in Community Sport if they:

  • Have travelled internationally or been exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the preceding 14 days; or
  • Are at a high risk including the elderly and those with pre‑existing medical conditions.

We, at SMNE, wish all our swimming community and families good health and thank you for your ongoing support.
